School Tours & Field Trips Dakin Dairy Farms

This hands on SCHOOL TOUR allows for a transfer of knowledge that is not only fun but educational too!  Children will learn & see where milk comes from and watch it go from the cow to the bottle. They will learn about sustainable farming and the many benefits of fresh grass in our cows diet, then they get to "taste the difference" by enjoying an ice cold glass of farm fresh milk produced and bottled right here on the farm. A hayride will take them a little deeper into the farm and of course everyone enjoys making butter from Dakin Dairy farm fresh cream. If your timing is just right you might see a calf being born. They’ll visit the "Animal Barn & Hen House" and if time permits they can watch the pigs race. After your tour you are welcome to have lunch in the Courtyard Area (bring your own food or schedule a lunch with us.)  Come watch the cows at work and play!  Even the teachers will learn something new and love this tour!
