Dakin Dairy Farms is a proud member of Gulfcoast AgVentures. We are a newly formed group of family-owned businesses and non-profit organizations who connected through a common passion to open our agriculturally oriented businesses to the public for tours and school field trips.

We Make it Exciting to Learn

We make it exciting to learn about many types of farming, including: varieties of vegetables and fruits grown using organic practices with love and passion. The Manatee County Agricultural Museum is a great place to learn about our areas rich agricultural heritage.

Florida grapes, nurtured for over 20 years to make and bottle local wine can be found at the enchanting Rosa Fiorelli’s Winery where you can not only tour but can taste the bounties of the vines. Another producing farm that offer tours and field trips is Dakin Dairy Farms, where you can see the real day to day workings of a major dairy operation and can have lots of fun enjoying their variety of family friendly activities. At Mixon Fruit Farms you can buy yummy fruit gifts, get “fresh from the tree” juices and enjoy lunch after a tram ride through the groves to their wildlife rehabilitation center. Just around the corner you will find King’s Family Farm where the finest berries and fresh from the earth veggies are grown by a family dedicated to providing the finest produce.

Animal lovers can visit Bearadise Ranch to learn about the protection and preservation of bear habitats from a family that has raised and trained bears for generations. You may choose to watch amazing equestrian demonstrations at the home training ground of the world famous Herrmann’s Royal Lipizzan Stallions or have an upclose educational encounter with lions, tigers and exotic animals from a family that dedicates their lives to providing a forever home for these incredible animals at the Big Cat Habitat and Gulf Coast Sanctuary. You can bring the whole family for some horseback riding fun with riding lessons, pony rides and petting zoo adventures at Rosaire’s Riding Academy, where every animal is loved and all families are welcome.

One of the group members, Gulf Coast Florida Limousine Inc., can help you have the most fun AgVenture outing ever by taking care of all your transportation needs. They offer groups from 6 to 36 passengers comfortable, reasonably priced transportation in limousines, SUVs and limo/shuttle buses. They will be happy to customize a tour to any or all of the Gulf Coast AgVentures attractions or to and from all airports, cruise ports and hotels.

Most Gulf Coast AgVentures’ members extend their family-owned properties for events such as children’s birthday parties, weddings and family outings and school field trips, with additional attractions listed on their websites.
